Perfect for those arriving at Disneyland the day before! Access to the Pixar World Exhibition from Tokyo Station and recommended ways to spend time in the surrounding area.

Going out English Version

Introduction

Many people planning a trip to Disneyland or DisneySea from afar likely plan to arrive in Tokyo the day before, stay in a nearby hotel, and enjoy the parks from the very beginning the next morning.

If you’re arriving in Tokyo the day before, you’ll want to make the most of that time, right?

Currently, there’s an event perfect for such a Disney pre-trip! It’s the “MUNDO PIXAR” exhibition (running until October 2026) in Toyosu.

It’s the perfect spot to get you in the mood before heading to Disney. However, if you’re unfamiliar with the area, you might wonder, “How do I get there from Tokyo Station?” or “Where should I spend my time before and after the event?”

Therefore, this article will provide detailed information on:

The best transportation options from Tokyo Station to the venue (Toyosu)

Recommended spots and activities before and after the event

Please use this as a reference to make your Disney trip even more fulfilling!

Recommended Transportation from Tokyo Station to the Toyosu Pixar Exhibition

Access from Tokyo Station

A taxi takes about 15 minutes, making it the easiest option for those traveling from afar with a lot of luggage.

If you have minimal luggage and are traveling with two adults, the bus is recommended.

There is a bus stop right next to KITTE Marunouchi, near Tokyo Station.

Exit Tokyo Station at the Marunouchi South Exit. It’s towards KITTE.

Here’s a map.

You can see KITTE from the bus stop.

The white building in the back right is KITTE.

Take the bus from Tokyo Station’s Marunouchi South Exit to Shin-Toyosu Station.

The bus stop in front of Shin-Toyosu Station is right next to the Pixar exhibition, so it’s about a 3-minute walk.

At the intersection right next to the bus stop, diagonally across from the bus stop, is Shin-Toyosu Sakura Plaza.

Just beyond that is CREVIA BASE Tokyo, where the Pixar World Exhibition is being held.

The bus itself runs approximately every 10 minutes, so you don’t need to worry.

I highly recommend taking this bus.

Regarding transportation options for the return trip:

The bus stop in front of Shin-Toyosu Station is in a different location than the one we took on the way there. It’s closer than the bus stop we took on the way there.

It’s right next to Shin-Toyosu Sakura Park. You can see the Pixar exhibition from the bus stop.

You could also take the bus back to Tokyo Marunouchi South Exit from here and enjoy some shopping or dinner around Tokyo Station.

We took the bus from this stop and got off at Tsukiji 3-chome to go to a Japanese pub.

We’ll tell you more about that pub in the recommended spots section that follows. We’ll also show you how to get to Maihama from that pub.

Recommended spots and activities before and after the event

If you’re looking for a place to have tea at Tokyo Station before the event, how about this?

This is Brasserie Viron Marunouchi.

It’s located on the first floor of the building right next to KITTE, and it’s easy to find as it’s right on the street. It’s also close to a bus stop, so you don’t have to worry about getting there.

It’s a bakery, but they also have a menu like a Friench-style restaurant. When I visited Tokyo before, I was really impressed by their sandwiches and bread, and I couldn’t forget the delicious-looking cakes in their display case, so I visited again this time.

My husband and I enjoyed Mont Blanc, lemon tart, and eclairs. They were all rich and incredibly delicious. The atmosphere inside the shop was lovely, and it was bustling with customers, just like the last time we visited.

We had plenty of time before our Pixar exhibition reservation, so we enjoyed a leisurely tea time.

Buses run approximately every 10 minutes, making it easy to adjust your schedule and convenient. I highly recommend you visit!

Bonus tip: My recommendation is to buy sandwiches or bread here for breakfast the next day. In April, the temperature isn’t too high, so we put them in a shopping bag, had my husband put it in his backpack, and stored it in the refrigerator at the hotel. It was still delicious the next morning. This also saves time and money on mornings at Disney, which I’ll discuss in a future Disney blog post. Please check it out!

How about spending time here after the event?

If you’re looking for an early dinner after the event, I recommend Nodoguro Nakamata Tsukiji, located a 3-4 minute walk from the Tsukiji 3-chome bus stop.

I recommend making a reservation. Even on a weekday, it was very busy, and I saw some customers who had to leave because it was fully booked.

We ordered the course meal recommended by the friendly waitress.

It was the “Satsuma Kuroge Wagyu Sirloin Charcoal Grill and Nodokuro Japanese fish Japanese style Grill Course” for ¥6,800.

We chose this because it included the Nodokuro (which I’d wanted to try), homemade satsuma-age (fried fish cake), and sashimi.

The broad beans and eggplant were delicious. The alcohol was easy to drink and fantastic! Japanese food is healthy and great!

The sashimi was also very delicious.

Wow!! the Nodokuro arrived!! It was very delicious.

The Wagyu beef was delicious too.

The dish that arrived was like  soba noodles and a hot pot vegetables, very healthy and satisfying for both my stomach and my heart.

I was also happy that tea and sweets were served at the end.

We left the restaurant completely satisfied.

The nearest station to this restaurant is Hatchobori Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. The Keiyo Line and Musashino Line are also nearby, and it seems those connect to Maihama.

On our way to the subway entrance, we spotted a delicious-looking taiyaki (fish-shaped pancake filled with red bean paste).

I was so full I could barely eat, but my husband is crazy about red bean paste, so he ate the one.

I apologize for showing you the half-eaten taiyaki, but here it is. The thin crust was crispy, and the red bean paste filling was apparently very delicious. It’s great that the shop is open late. Typical of Tokyo!

The taiyaki shop’s name seems to be “Kanda Daruma Tsukiji Branch.” It appears to be open until 10 PM.

It was delicious, so I highly recommend it.

It takes about 20 minutes to get to Maihama Station on the Keiyo Line. You can get there without changing trains.

What did you think?

For my husband and me, this trip was surprisingly satisfying and fulfilling—it’s no exaggeration to say it was the best time we’ve ever had.

We highly recommend it.

Bonus: This was my first time riding a bus in Tokyo, and the view from the bus window, giving us a glimpse into the lives of Tokyo’s people, was very refreshing and enjoyable.
